we use a hot air gun and a spreader to get them off, and of course when you prep the car, any marks that you left will disappear.

i agree with everyone else, keep the strips.

just had a little prod at them and they are loose easy to get off .yes i want to keep them if i can find something to stick them back on with. that's the problem

Micky, I say leave them on. They seem to be complete and in good "nick" (?) . The strips are slim, elegant and unobtrusive, carrying the same weight of design as the window trim and bumpers.

If you wanted to go 80 Sport style, flat black the trim and bumpers like that crazy lowered 80 with the cinnamon metallic paint.

Generally, keep it stock, with cross Audi/model upgrades. 14" vs. 15" Ronals. Brakes, mufflers, cams, etc. That's my vote.
