Yes; I get 38 pretty regular, but that's mainly a commute of 110 miles round trip, plus a bit of local running around. Just over 40 on a good run, but that was exceptional: Mostly cruising @ 70, plus a bit of light footed X country from Morecambe to Leeds. (I alternate between 95 & 98 octane - supposed to adjust timing for one or other, but don't get any pinking!) My other Sports - early ones - never seem to better 35/36, even though they're lower mileage. This one (D30 NPP) has always been good on fuel, but I think I'll struggle to equal 44 again. 44mpg, Jees thats about the average of my passat TDi, OK so the Passat weighs about 600kg more but even so, impressive. My Cq returns a very respectable 16mpg Though it will hit 30mpg on a long run so long as I keep revs below 3500rpm which is just over 80mph with the 6 speed. Not bad for a 2.2 20Vt.
