And that's the whole conundrum for me Matt. Are they too VW to jump across to an Audi?? Thats what I'm stuck on.

I don't think that they are too VDub. There a classic 7x15 et 28 wheel. ( other offsets may exist)I haven't seen a set on an early Audi for nearly 10 years. They're beautiful wheels, and very well made.
