The reason I chose the title for the thread is that this car reminds me so much of my first car, a bright yellow VW1302S Beetle. I spent every spare penny on it. Had the front bonnet sprayed black, fitted a Richard Grant 'trans-am' front spoiler which bolted to the front bumper. Wolfrace alloys shod with, massive for the time, XJ6 205/70x15 Dunlops which caught on the front wings. 'Go faster' side stripes, a rear window louvre and the ubiquitous Zoom Tube tail pipe which sounded great.

But that was 1979/80 and it was cool then. In 2017 I'm not so sure, or am I just getting old?

The pictures are in a photo album in the attic! You know I don't have the IT knowledge or skills to post them on here!

I still think the Internet superhighway is a slip road somewhere off the M6

Cutting and pasting from YT is as far as I go matey

Memory trip............
In my youth I built an electric blue Baja beetle, white "Starsky & Hutch" stripe, white 5-spoke steel wheels with Mitsubishi Shogun rear tyres and the obligatory KC Daylighters on the front bumper bar. All with stock 1300 underpinnings. I still have photos too!

Oh how I thought it was cool!
