You can check the MOT history with advisories online: https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history-vehicle

The wheel may have been replaced with the more modern one that you got with the car, and they took all the wiring out then. I'd be happy not having the 20 year old airbag in front of me, I removed my always on airbag light four years ago, some years it shows as an advisory on the MOT, sometimes it doesn't. As long as the car gets you to where you want to go and back, the rest is fettling and tinkering

Are you putting up a project thread? I'm keen to see what you've got

airbags only have a life of 14 years. The wiring for it is probably tucked up under the cluster.

You're right Ben and I always print off the MOT history for myself, most times before buying the car, but this time, with the last MOT certificate not available, I could only print the history minus the last MOT . Until I get the V5 back with its document reference number, that information is not available. The V5C/2 which came with the car turned out to be from a previous V5...all very strange, but until the car and its paperwork arrived, something one could not have foreseen.
The car runs very well but am struggling to find a reason why the water temp gauge is not working . Have replaced the sender at the O/S rear of the engine, but with no improvement. I'm not too sure the fan is running when it should either.
Someone has done a lot of "fiddling " with the car and I'll just try and get it back to the way it was originally. S2 badge, and obvious marks on boot and front grille where other badges have been attached, the superior steering wheel plus a DAB radio which I disliked straight away. 17" alloys with excellent tyres, but I'm after a set of Craigs wagon wheels
All in all the car is quite good , and perhaps I'm just too fussy, but the lack of engine coolant temperature is something I can't live with.....

As for a thread, I don't think the car is really that interesting to justify anything like that but just wait for the next car that's supposed to arrive next Wednesday....

here's your taster!!!

Ok Bruce, especially for you !!

and with the hood up....

I bought this to satisfy a moment way back in the late '90s when I saw a Kingfisher Blue car like this in a showroom in Lockyears of Cranleigh Surrey. Way out of my comfort zone price wise then.
But at £1500 for this one....could stretch the old bank balance and indulge now......we only live once .

Fitted in a genuine Audi radio today in place of the Phillips DAB jobbie, looks great . Wheels are definitely going to be changed but am having to pace the cash flow! The V6 goes really well and despite some saying the cars are slow, can't complain so far ; but the Cornish lanes aren't suitable for Grand Prix style driving anyway. .......and yes, "so much for no more old Audis"

From the advert I bought the car from, in need of a good clean up......its better than this picture now, but still room for improvement.
