The dealer is only 5 miles away from me. They only tend to sell low mileage minters. Drove past there the other morning and there was a stunning bmw z1 sat outside.

I never read the advert/description of the car and even now have only read the bit about the engine bay but now i know what you mean "all the plastic in the engine bay is standing to attention" Priceless statement designed to add a few grand to the price.

Here's my Fordy bay.........it didn't cost 30k !

I love the picture of your engine bay John and your Mk5 is doing it for me over that ugly Mk1 Capri.Very very clean. Is that all original or restored and is that a Janspeed extractor manifold??! I have transparencies that i took back in 1986 of my under bonnet area and hope to get them digitised at some point and enjoy the pictures.

Mainly as I bought it, but it has had bits of paintwork(and needs more).
I swaped the head for one that had been fettled so I painted bits before reassembly, it's looking better now as has new radiator and cap, coil, and I've cleaned up the servo and MC.
Hopefully I've sourced a louvre for the back screen too

Regards the manifold, not sure of the make.

I had a 1971 (I think)1600 MKI, always regretted letting it go, but wow what a price, rather spend £30K on a quattro, but can't afford two

The right Fords are going up in price. Considering there's no comparison compared to Audi for build/quality/original purchase price.
However, I also have my feet in both camps, and although I love both my Audi & Ford, this is my favourite I'm afraid. ( Maybe because it's been a labour of love over the years all my own work)
