There's two or three gliptone jobbies , the cleaners good with a nice gentle brush and water . I've used the cream as well as auto grim stuff ( current favourite )

As has already been said, pull the seats out and door cards off, but leave the carpet where it is.
The centre console would have to come out (a right PITA) to remove the front carpet and it's much easier to clean the carpet insitu, it doesn't try to run away from you and you have the rigid floor pan underneath it.

You will have to remove the console extension piece along the top of the tunnel (can't think of the name of it at the moment ), to get at the 2 screws that secure the gear lever gaiter. There's nut at the back under the rear seat and 2 screws in the side of the centre console, and the gear lever gaiter will need to be released from the 3 springy hooks.

If you get the rear seat back out as Steve describes, then the rear parcel shelf can be removed (after unbolting the rear seat belts).
You can only see how dirty it is once you get out , as shown here on mine!
