Typ 44 100 could be the one then, or even a nice Type 81 Audi 80 CD

I always liked the 80 CD too - got the brochure on that as well!

I am also seriously thinking about that Maraschino Coupe 1.8 that was on ebay (again) recently as it's quite near me.
How easy is it to retrofit electric windows and front foglamps - I'd only use original parts so it all looked factory-fitted.

nothing is impossible but you may struggle finding a good pair of electric window mechanisms for one, and for the hassle, you may as well stick to the good old fashioned windey handles! Less to go wrong!

Fair point - that job would always be a winter project though!

Maraschino is a fantastic colour and yes the 5 pot may have more charisma, but the 1.8 is basically an Audi 80 Sport in a coupe body shell nowt wrong with that, they go really well and are really economical on fuel

Thanks Ian,
I did see that one, and have spoken with the owner. Unfortunately it doesn't have any history at all but I still may go and have a look.
