They're not as easy to tow as you'd think. Yeah, they're not high sided, but they're heavier than they look.

I'd still go for a caravan , i'm sure you could pick a half decent one up for not much more money ?

We started with a frame tent, she didn't like sleeping on the floor, then a trailer tent, she didn't like the canvas flapping so we then moved to a caravan.
Caravans are best but parking, storage, servicing is a pain. I prefered the trailer tent. Now there is only two of us it's hotels
