You live and learn.

A long time ago I had a Capri resto project on which I rebuilt the cylinder head. It was plagued with a lumpy idle until one day the inlet manifold gasket popped and it dropped onto three cylinders. When I took the manifold off, I found some idiot (which could only have been me) had managed to fit the gasket in a way which was partially blocking one of the ports. I would have said that was impossible too but I somehow managed it.
