I second that.

Legally, you should be in the same situation as when you came in through the door.

Make a note of everything that has been said (e.g. who you spoke to on what date etc.).

It is their negligence that has caused this.

If they said "Mr Bart, your ball joint is worn, we can try and take it off, but if it breaks, yo'll need a new one."

Not "if it breaks and we try and BODGE IT, you'll be responsible".
