How dumb is that!??
It's epoxied on. I recommend setting the engine to TDC, pulling the distributor off and crushing the arm off in a vice. If you do it on the car there's a chance of bending the shaft.

I employed a combination of the two there Phil.

I crushed it on the car.

Fires up and runs much nicer now.
