I've no idea of normal prices, but Staples were running a sale on iPads when i popped in tuvver day.

Got a Macbook Pro.
They say that your mind is either PC or MAC. I just used to look at a PC and sqerm. I just look at the MAC try and use it but smile....... Its feckin great even better when i know how to use it

...and for the same price of ipad and that keyboard one can get very good laptop or even better desktop PC...
And, by the way, author of this thread says he wants to buy a new computer, but ipad isn't one. It's just iphone with 10 inch screen
But at least this tablet mania shows how less is needed by average user - turns out that many persons can do with something that has hardware equivalent to 10 years old desktop PC

My 4, 5 and 15 year olds all have i Pads, easy to use and they love em. I Pad 2 is potentially fragile build-wise according to The Apple Store.
