You are right! Somehow through years all units what controls something on engine - everybody calls "ecu"...

The arrangement on the KU engine looks exactly the same - wire is the same colour.

Having had a quick look in my Haynes and Bentley manuals, I'm none the wiser.

Injection and ignition systems use the MFTS (above it).
Temp gauge sender is on rear of cylinder head.
Thermotime switch for CSV is in radiator.

This single connection doesn't seem to get a mention.
It could be for the ICU (as previously stated, there is no ECU)

It's got me,scratching my head.
I'll have to,do some research.
I was wondering,if it could have anything to do with my high idle?(Shooting,in the dark.)

Its something to do with the ISV valve,
If I unplug it with the engine running the idle drops, but if i plug it back in nothing happens untill the ignition is turned off then on again.

Top sender is for the temp gauge.

Default What does it control?

Went out and checked mine.
Take lead off and engine doesn't start.
Pushed it back on and engine wouldn,t idle.
Played around alittle more and idle high.(1100.)

OK. Looked again with my glasses on and it's actually sensor N10. connected to the idle stabilisation unit J142 pin 13/T. used to determine isv operation during cold starting/warm up phase.
Hope this helps

Clearing that corrosion off would certainly help
