haha not at the moment, a few people at work have had them, the engines arent normally the problem but the running gear, diffs especially,

it is quite pokey though considering the weight

Friend of mine has a 2008 HSE Discovery ( him and his Brother bought one each at the same time) with all the bells and whistles, 38k it's done and has not missed a beat of service history from Land Rover Stafford. Two weeks ago he called me to say the engine had gone bang and that it was in the garage at Stafford. He reckoned he was lucky that he had had the extended warranty as it was 'just' out of it's three years factory period. Couple of days after it went in Landrover dude calls and says to Mark, you know your extended warranty only covers you to 5k dont you? So he reckoned it was out with the switch card to top up the bill. Anyway, to cut to the chase it was the fuel pump, well, both of them actually and because the one in the tank is sealed in, the tank needed to be replaced too. So I said to him that he was a jammy sod and that he ought to think himself lucky as the warranty will pay the entire bill. All he could do was moan his arse off saying he had only just put in 137 quids worth of derv ten minutes before it packed up!!

Land Rovers are wonderful things! It's because they are so unreliable that I am still in business :tup

Our TD4 55 Plate Freelander has been a stalwart of reliability... A Bloody brilliant machine.

Fuel pump was a recall on disco 3 should have been picked up by the dealer during servicing, Ive had a disco 3 for over two years, and it has been a stunning vehicle, it's been through europe several times, in all weathers and never missed a beat. Feel quite sad that in about 4 hours it will no longer be on the drive, and i have not got a clue what to replace it with.

Never really fancied a disco to be honest so I bought an old Range Rover v8 in 8 years she had NEVER broken down, just routine service, she starts first time. Here's my 1987 Rage Babe wouldn't swop her for the world

What do you think Tonks? Not bad or what

im obsessed with land rovers (as you know gouldy - you saw my Defender when you picked up the Kamei from me!) and i think they are wonderful machines. with the correct maintenance, and steer clear of the new ones (including TD5's) the 300 and 200tdi's are bombproof.
