they were pretty tight...one shocker had to be drilled out.

However I only saw them when the car was jacked up so the arms would pull the caps down as they are then hanging.

What I cant get my head around is why they should sit proud. My simple egineering logic suggests they should pull everything tight to the turret. But being proved wrong would save me a shed load of additional hassle thats for sure

Mine were very soft when i replaced mine Martyn, this was the CQ's pre replacement. I cant find the post replacement pic but there is still a gap.

Looks normal to me Martyn.

You have to have clearance between that cap and the body or else itd transfer all the road noise through into it.
Its not supposed to bet locked between the cap and turret.
What youre missing is the plastic covers that fit on top which cover it and make it look like its a snug fit.
Really cant see anything wrong with it to be honest matey.

hi mate, just been out to have a look at mine and they are sitting up by about 8-10mm above the inner wing much like your photo,if it helps I'll take photo for you tommorow in daylight and hopefully not p*ssing down,

well after everyones help and advice it now looks like I was having a major panic attack for nothing. Life is good again.

which all means that tomorrow I can get onto adjusuting the toe angle using nothing but string, axle stands, a ruler and pen and pencil
