don't know. I had a 15 minute look at the car on friday, and am going back this week to pay money (once I've seen it running cos the battery was flat).

being delivered on Monday evening.

It has dealer fitted air con too!!!!!!!

The bloke has started it and says it runs, but is a bit lumpy (it IS a 5 pot after all!), I'll chuck in a gallon of BP Ultimate and see what happens (it's been stood for 6 months and not been started).

It would be nice to have a bit more power, I nearly got blown away by a Corsa SXi last night!!!!

Got it delivered tonight.

bargain price.

Won't idle, but never mind. Must be something simple.

Currently stored on a farm for the next couple of months, so it won't be there on Saturday.

for my point of view, you can transplant the turbo engine in your quattro car.

But, you need also to transplant the engine wire, and the ECU.
good lucks ! it takes at least 2 week ends.

for mechanical side point of view, no problem, you can keep your 4WD gearbox.

which engine did you get ? MC, KG ?
the MC is 2226 cm3 and has a catalysator, 165 HP
the KG is 2144cm3 no catalysator, 182 HP
the 1B is 2226 cm3, no catalysator and 200HP

on the KG, you have no boost pressure regulation, piloted by the ECU. On the 1B and MC, you have.

on the KG, you can easily boost the pressure to 0.9 bar. Be careful, at 1.0 bar, the ECU cut the fuel pump. YOu can find on the web some moutings to take over this regulation.

we want to see the pics of your transplantation !!

Hi Burny,

It is the MC with 2 knock sensors (1990 car). It has been decatalysed.

I have the whole car so I will take my time and plan carefully!

I might get the head ported while it is out of the car too.
