ITS JUST SHEET ICE HERE

Can hardly walk on the roads around my area...let alone drive on it

the 2 SMALL hills out of my street and residential area is just a scene of abandoned vehicles pointing in all directions!!

even walking to the post office yesterday was a scene from dancing on ice, by a pissed bambi

more to come soon i think and temperaturesdue to plummet to -20* this weekendI am a bit concerened about the cars coolant systems since I bet they are winter prepped it wont be down to -20 prepped!!!

Great fun this morning, Tried to leave early to rescue the A4 (only car with Winter tyres on it) from Lynn's School but having got onto the main road took forever to get moving, on getting to the slight incline after a mini roundabout found I was going slower and slower and then backwards, then front started to turn and nothing was going to stop it so helped it round with a J turn manoever and toddled home again, then fitted the 205 Summer tyres from the A4 to the front of the Passat and hey presto, grip, not a lot but still 100% more than the 225 F1's.
De-iced the A4, left the Passat at the school and drove to work in the A4, what a difference Winter tyres make. Well worth the investment.. Arrived 2 hours late but made it in, unlike most others.
Just about to contact the insurance about the double glazed window, probably have to rant to get anywhere, fingers crossed...
