Default Classic F1 Painting

Hi all,

I thought some of you might be interested to see an oil painting I'm working on. Usually I do all sorts of other subjects (landscapes, still life, portraits) but fancied painting this beautiful classic. Love the old F1. This car/driver combo and era might be my favourite.

I'm deliberately being vague as it's a WIP, the sponsors, number, helmet 'detail' etc. are not in yet and I'm wondering if the car looks right in it's current state.

Any other painters out there?

.

Williams? Minardi? Stopped watching after Damon Hill won the drivers championship but had been quite into it in the preceding years, definitely my vintage as well, wouldnt know Hamilton or any of this new crowd if they bit my leg…?!

I know nothing about painting or art really, but it looks great to me, I'd certainly be proud if I'd managed to produce that!
