I managed to log I. This morning after following the password reset link, it all seems to be there, but looks like it has been understandably quiet.

Desolate.

The main topic of conversation being how difficult it has been to login, and therefore membership has dropped off.

No luck here, on iPad, android phone or PC. It clearly hates me.

I tried again, clicked on the reset password link and a Reset email came in this time. Set a new password & I'm now able to log in. So I'll keep popping back in every now & then to see if there's anything happening.

Did you folks have to endure the “I’m not a robot”… “click on the images with a bus in”, now “click on the images with traffic lights”, now sing “god save the queen”, “now stand on one foot” routine. Completely insufferable. It’s a car forum not a bank vault.

I only had a not a robot box to tick ? Used an ageing iPad to do so after the password reset.

Ah yes, the anti-robot capcha stuff. I was trying to log in to another website (one that I needed to, as opposed to choosing to) recently. The capcha never ended. So I didn’t login.
I’ve no idea what the repercussions will be, but as retirement was edging closer, I feel it’s unlikely to be that important, after all.

It reminds me of the efforts towards security that my old company’s IT imposed on folks-

Every 6 months, change thine password.
But, you can’t use any of your last 3 passwords
And, you mustn’t use any password that you’ve used previously
And, it don’t work on this platform (company issued iPad). It must be done from a laptop/desktop…
…which isn’t issued to everyone…
…and you should use cytrix, which only a few people in the office use…
…which is being phased out…

But they persist in using windows/microshaft.
Clearly, I’m in the wrong line of work.

Has anyone who so desires (and previous could), managed to login recently? There were issues with the certificate, before. Now, there are issues again, and security warnings galore from Safari, Chrome & Firefox. Proper buggah’d?

I wanted to go and look at an old post about something, and cannae.
