I also didn't realise Micky had left us , a great guy and completed some great restorations. Met him at Haigh hall show too. Covid seems to be hitting all of us at the moment, my lad has just caught it and hopefully be OK.

I was very shocked to hear about Micky yesterday. I had no idea he had passed away.

He was a very nice guy. One of life's good guys.

The Classic Audi community will miss him.

Very, very sad news.

Im saddened and shocked by this news, I hadnt heard from Micky for a while and had tried without success to contact him, it makes it all the more hard to know the reason why it wasnt possible and Id last spoken to him in 2020 just after this current situation had started up

Micky was a client, an acquaintance and a guy who occasionally got a tad too deeply into the electrical side of his restorations from time to time, but most of all he was my friend.
Micky was a dedicated kind of guy where it came to restorations and I mean it sincerely when I say he had considerable talent and an eye for detail, he was in fact way better at it than he might have thought and better than many so called "pro's" Ive met.

I first met him at one of the breakfast club meets showing off his Coupe Gt and we got chatting, after that Id see him at most of the local Breakfast Club meets at Cosford and he'd hang around for bit taking a few photos etc before disappearing off.

He brought his dear old mum over the one afternoon in one of his restos to show it off if memory serves so she and my old dear got chatting as me and micky had a look at the oily bits under the bonnet.
It was a shock to hear she had died suddenly some months after and I think it hit him hard.

Mickys usual opening line to me when phoning or texting me was say in a high voice: "Oy Pikeeeeeey!" but it was always done with a grin and light hearted and id say the same back when phoning him. I often had a laugh with his brother Paul and used to get the pair of them mixed up.

It was a pleasure to have been a part of his many restos and to have him as a friend.

I wish to offer my deepest sympathies to his family at this difficult time, its an awful situation to have a loved one there one minute and gone the next.

Heres some photos from over the years of the many interactions I had with "Mad Micky", gone but not forgotten.
You will be missed mate.

I didn't realise he had two brothers Tony, I had assumed the brother I was in contact with yesterday was the brother who used to be often with him at meets. Now I am reminded his name is Paul not David.

He was a proper down to earth guy, always cracked a few jokes when you’d see him.

I think Tony referring to ‘the pair’ as Micky and Paul? I struggled to tell them apart

Very sad news. Someone that made an enthusiastic and friendly contribution to classic Audi, and a very nice bloke.
