Yep cold water should kill it off hopefully, then should be but a stiff breeze. If it was projected to hit London we'd be hearing a lot more about it, but nobody lives in any other part of the UK, so I haven't even seen it on the news.

It's a barmy summers night here in Sussex the S2 said 18deg about an hour ago, we've had all the doors and windows open in the house all evening, the humidity is epic, probaby over 90%, everything is like the Niagara Falls outside. It's sufficiently odd to know mother nature has something cooking... Hopefully for us, we're sufficiently east enough to miss the worst of it.

Looking at the Met Office forecast, has anyone picked up on the wind/surge up the Irish Sea and tide times? I'm no expert but...

I read something like a 2m surge expected but suppose it only has major impacts if it coincides with big enough spring tides etc. which I don't know.

It's a big bugger though, outer bands all the way to Portugal at the moment, here in Wigtownshire - sky going north, very quickly, wind going south, birds flying east.

One of our main customers is flying in to Prestwick today from Spain, landing at 7pm, good luck with that!

Our phone line will definitely go down so I'll see y'all in a week's time.

Very yellow skies, almost a sepia tint to everything, and a continual hint of the potential winds to come.

The sun was red this morning as it peeped through a very dark sky, now we have sunshine but the wind is getting up.

Yep, the sky was very US tornado weather looking earlier, and the red sun, weird, we saw that too, bet the ancients would have taken that as a warning, really nice warm sunny day here, now bit windy, time to hit the beach for a gander!

I was going to get my "THE END IS NIGH" placard out after seeing the red sun.
