Hi guys Im new here and looking for some info/links to a project someone might have carried out before (i have searched), the engine in my B2 has seen better days and im breaking a NA 1.8 20v (ADR) A4 B5 and would like to put that engine in the B2. Im after anything that might help me before i dive in, thanks.

Make sure the donor engine is an AEB cable throttle engine because if it's not and its drive by wire you'll face a whole heap of pain with electrics sensors and you'll have to transfer the pedal box as well!
I've not done the B2 but I did do the B3, made a huge difference to the car, driving flexibility, power delivery and economy. Your closest guide to your B2 on here will be Brian's 1.8T converted GT5 coupe |

adr is non turbo, the inlet manifold also looks perfect for bike carbs.. and the hole is in the block for a distributor. mounts will need made but the rest should just slot in using your original flywheel etc
