The use of a nazi propaganda photo to make a cheap, untruthful and distasteful non point isnt worthy to grace the pages of this forum and you should withdraw it.
Maybe someone should put up a picture of Corbyn and Kim Jong Un, they both appear to have the same disregard for democracy?
Farage brings the Nazi similarities upon himself by use of his poster campaigns and his own views which he freely and glibly espouses. So you shouldn't be too shocked when someone decides to make the point in print on what I last thought was a forum for free debate within certain boundaries.

So far all that's happened is as I expected/hoped it would do.

We voted leave by a slim margin.
Markets crashed temporarily due to investors being wrong footed, was always going to happen.
Increasing unrest and demands for referenda in other EU countries.
UK holding back on actually issuing article 50.
Changes to structure and breadth of EU & curtailed growth until internal crap is sorted.
UK agreeing not to trigger art50 as long as promised reforms continue to show signs of progress.

Even though I voted out I don't think we should leave. I did however want a slim majority to send shockwaves through the establishment in the EU to hopefully wake them up and realise that political integration is not what anyone but themselves (the unelected) want. A trading bloc is fine, that's all that we and the others officially signed up for.

My ideal scenario is that by the time a new PM is brought in the EU commissioners will have had enough of a strongarm from Merkel (and I wasn't expecting the likes of the Polish & Czech PM's) to get Juncker the (not so) great to step aside and swift EU reforms be put in place which would lead to the UK not passing a vote to leave through the commons on the grounds that 'things have changed'

It's an incredibly slim chance of this all happening but I had to vote to leave in the hope that this will be achieved.

On a lighter note, those f&*kers who pushed me out of my last job have seen their share price fall by 50% since Friday and the directors who ousted me get a lot of their bonuses in shares (and based on share value). Hahahaha.

Actually the margin by which we voted wasn't that slim as you suggest.England voted by almost a 2 million majority! Thats a big mandate.

The answer to the vacuum we have right now follows in second. But just before i do,how about this for a laugh. The tories are always telling us that Labour cannot be trusted on the economy and of course the lemmings always fall for it.Well folks what has the conservative party just done to our economy?? If the well oiled snakes ever use that one again please remember you don't just need extreme bad international luck to ruin an economy, you just need a party who's hell bent on their own personal goals and willing to gamble as they have just done.Rather ironic isn't it. They just put themselves before all of us lot. Still i'm happy as we the English and the Welsh have given the establishment a kicking right where it hurts because we remember what the establishment did for us over the last 30 years.

Now, why there's a vacuum of power at the moment.

So why now is Boris Johnson looking miserable in interviews and saying there is no rush to trigger article 50? Because Cameron has played a clever game of chess and it is now checkmate.
For example Boris (or any other candidate) takes PM position triggers article 50 he will potentially cause the break up of the UK hence Cameron passing the buck. Or Boris steps down not taking on PM position to follow through on his campaign, which is political suicide. Or Boris takes position as PM but does not trigger article 50 voing back on his campaign promise, which is also political suicide.
So quite frankly a red herring has been placed on the future PM's seat and this is what is going to be the biggest issue in proceeding from where we are stood at the moment. This is also why there is no plan in place as no one within politics wants to go down in history for triggering an unknown.

Cameron was always a liar, said he wouldn't touch the NHS amoungst many things and has flipped flopped his way around, and people have had enough of him and his complete contempt for the electorate.Sadly the public were duped into voting for him last summer which incidentally he didn't expect to win. So in a very intellectual way cameron has left us in a right old eaton mess!!

A very raw nerve apparently and yes I'd also include Kim albeit Corbyn's just a feckless muppet.

I'm passionate and proud about being British and Scottish, probably in that order thinking about it. The further right 'little England' moves and which takes you away from the centre, centre/left that is Scotland creates a gap that'll end up causing the break up of the U.K. as it becomes a very obvious 'them and us' and makes the unthinkable distinctly possible.

If you think bigotry has played no part in the referendum then your head is right up your arse!

The only legitimate question with regards to that is how much a part it played. Certainly nowhere near as big a part as sections of the press have made out but a significant part nevertheless (sadly).

Well I've had an interesting conversation at work . We noticed the police car down the road yesterday and today . We have s community center that the local uk Muslims have used for many many years with them being well known and respected . Apparently 4 young Muslim extremists had tried taking it over with the members being quite distressed about their behaviour and threats . One of the locals that used it said they had tried it elsewhere which is quite alarming really . And no I'm not making it up !

I have never been a vindictive sort of person -- but -- doesn't it give you a warm feeling ( unless they all sold their shares the week before ...)

Scarily one of my neighbours told me yesterday that a work collegue of hers was talking in the office and wanted to know when all these immigrants were going to be flown home.... seriously and this is apparently a well educated 'professional' person -- I checked with her ( you know, it's a bit of a laugh haha ) and they were serious....
You're out of order saying that because the only thing Farage and Hitler have in common is their colour, thats where the similarity ends and the fabrications start, Im a little disappointed you'd support such a grossly ignorant stereotype, however your choice.
Hitler was a nice bloke when he started off, putting a bit of national pride back into a down trodden Germany and then slowly putting the idea that the Jews were to blame. It's Farages campaign that has singularly attracted the far right extremists of the BNP, EDL and Britiain First, by giving them a perceived legality to target migrants. His views are simply racist, bigotted and xenophobic. He has made bedfellows with the far right Polish extreme group Congress of the New Right whose founder Janusz Korwin-Mikke has been widely quoted in the media for saying that “Adolf Hitler was probably not aware that Jews were being exterminated.”
Nothing that left leaning types say or do shocks me and yes free debate I agree with, I dont however agree with fabrication, whichever side thinks its valid to make their point with.
Fabrication? or simply a comparison. Seriously think you need to be holding Boris and Nige to account on that one given the fact they seem to have conned an awful lot of people to vote leave based on unsubstantiated fact and down right lies. TBH we shouldn't really be surprised about Boris. He has a proven track record of lying during his journalistic career leading him to be sacked from the Time for fabricating quotes and stories.

Peace and Respect as always Tony

onto more practical stuff and away from political debate this link shows some of the political and legal machinations required to even invoke Article 50

https://ukconstitutionallaw.org/2016...pensable-role/

It's a bit of a heavy read but if this is your thing have a cup of tea and give yourself 20 minutes.

To summarise

"A quick pull of the Article 50 trigger is unlikely to be feasible under the UK’s constitutional arrangements and may well not be desirable for any UK Government or Parliament, even one committed to eventual withdrawal from the EU."

Go Boris!

First create the situation and then decide it's too complicated to fix!

What a leader of men he is!

More like a buffoon of the first order....

In the interest of balance I did try really hard to find a picture of some left wing bampot doing something as stupid as this but was unsuccessful, sorry 4V6!!
