I thought it was terrible Tom C, but I have to hold my hand up and say I don't much like that kind of show in general. In fact the more I watch TV, the less a fan of anything on it I'm becoming! Apart from car shows...

Agreed, he comes from Ireland and also agreed, he's nothing special, but if this is how you view the Irish stereotype then you mustn't be much of a fan of the Irish. Whether you are or not is your business, but this isn't the place for such remarks.

I will also point out that I do not fall into your view of the Irish stereotype, I don't go around thinking I'm special just because of where I'm from, I leave that carry on to other nationalities, but as a graphic designer, professional photographer, mechanic, former rally driver and still playing my national sport (hurling, look it up on youtube) at the age of 43, I don't fall into any stereotypical category.

priceless!! and to think my family is also from ireland once upon a time . . i think they had a better sense of humour back then

now, why don't you have a go at the scots in return and i'll give you a great big embarrassing rant back?! yes we're tight, yes we're rubbish at football, yes we run around in weird skirts eating haggis and drinking whisky etc etc!!

I thought he was really quite good in Bridesmaids...

His wife however, is possibly the most annoying human being on television...

Its really quite "funny" how the written word and also texts can get one into so much trouble. The other day i I had to go down to our village shop to buy some item or other. Whilst away, my wife tried to phone me to ask me to get something else....unfortunately, the phone signal here is crap and in the village , non existent.
When I arrived home , she snapped at me, "what do you mean, you were too busy"

Apparently, my wonderful phone which I haven't a clue how to operate had somehow sent her a text when I didn't reply saying words to the effect of " I'm too busy now, I'll call you later"

I didn't even know she'd rung, let alone send her a text reply!

The moral of the story is....God only knows..... but something along the lines of a careless word , written , unwittingly texted, or spoken can get you into so much trouble...which is why ( believe it of not) I re-read my post about 5 times before I hit submit.

Amen!
