Default Snow Apocalypse continues Massachusetts

So, I have been keeping my head down, and spending a lot of time shovelling and running a snow blower. The city of Worcester in Massachusetts has just hit 76 inches ( 193 cm) of snow since the first of the year! How has it been for other members in Northern climes? Any one from Norway or Sweden or Finland have any comparable numbers?

The WINTERDAMMERUNG continues!

Some folks get all the snow.

We get a half inch and the country stops dead....

Envious, I want a snowblower with a straight 5 strapped on it.

And you're at a similar lattitude to Barcelona!! Makes you think about what will happen when the north atlantic drift decides to stop, if the Greenland ice sheet goes. We've had half an inch here in south west scotland, caused mayhem. I hate to think what a whole foot would do to Britain .

These are record numbers for us historically. One to twelve inches in a 24 hour period rarely causes more than a hick-up here. Hew England cities and towns have large Departments of Public works for winter snow removal. That said this year has shattered all their budgets. This really began a week and a half ago with a single non-stop storm that dropped 30 inches in 2 days.

You would not believe how much chaos 2-3 inches of snow causes over here Matt .... The snow gets forecast and we wait whilst the grifters and council staff in general vanish then pop up and blame people else where for not gritting or it's too cold or the wrong snow or .... Well you get the drift (!) while in the previous summer the local council bod was proudly proclaiming we have plenty of gritt stored for the coming winter
