Bought my 80 Sport in February 1985 and still have it. )112000 miles)
Mind her A4 1.8 QTS was July 1999 and she still has that, only 90000 miles.

Heh, the pic shows the car after it had just come back from the body shop for door and front wing repairs after the latest "incident". They had cleaned the car for her but if you look at the rear of the cill, you can see a bit of the green moss they missed that usually covers the car. It quickly reverted to milky pink soon after.

after the latest "incident"

My Gran drove until she was 87. Never had an accident in her life, but she saw a few in her rear view mirrors.

I have owned my 85 80 20 years, a plain old FWD 1.8GL facelift model, almost 200,000 miles and used it right up untill last winter when I took it off the road for some paintwork to be refreshed

My father, who passed away 2 months ago, bought his Audi 100 new in 1986 and drove it until his passing. -> 28 years.

Three and a half years is a lifetime by comparison to my car ownership, most don't last more than a year or so and then I feel its time for a change ....the only constant I can claim is being a VW/Audi enthusiast for nearly 50 years ...as one of my early cars was a '55 Beetle ( oval window ) just another of the many I wish I still had. Audis came into my life in 1982 and was a fan of them from that time on, but how many? Have lost count!

Acquired my quattro in February '98, a month before Leggy. But I make that 17 years, not 18?
Anyhow, that puts us about mid field by the looks of it.

Have to confess that it was my daily driver only for the first 3-4 years, but still gets used. It was at 183k when purchased and now has 243k miles.
