I think that is the modern expression!

My Mk 2 Golf GTI has been torched this week!

Pointless waste of a good car. I had been using it almost daily for 4 years and was keeping it forever. Totally factory standard apart from subtly lowered springs. White, 3-door, small bumper, tinted glass, 15" BBS RA wheels. Perfect specification for me. No rot, never been welded - even the driver's seat bolster was un-ripped. What I now find after a look through the normal sites is that 1) It will not be easy to find equivalent replacement, and 2) if I do find one, I cannot afford to buy it.

My advice now - don't get too attached to your cars.

Sorry to hear that news mate

I too have a mk2 golf that I love to bits so I can understand your pain.

They are starting to creep up in price. Finding a good one is the hardest part.

There are some sick people about, problem is they'll unlikely be caught , far easier for the police to let the insurance just pay out whilst they sit around catching people speeding which is far easier /less work.... Hope you find an enthusiast owner selling to someone who will continue to look after it.
