Default Audi 90 quattro

The rotor arm is normally bonded on the 20v dizzy
as far as I am aware, correct me if am wrong.

Aye bonded.....but comes off eventually if you use a pry-bar between the rotor-arm and the big bas***d high pressure hose from the master cylinder! You need to be careful not to damage the big bas***d high pressure..........wait a minute!!

Many of them are bonded- certainly on the V8, it was. Cut to remove. New one simply pushes on. Odd that in the Audi service process that the new one isn't glued on...

I think it would have gone sooner (ie on your drive back from Glasgow) if it was something you did, Craig. The AA bloke seemed to think it maybe had worn where it had rubbed on the steering rack over time. But with it being under the battery tray on the wrong side of the kerplunk game, it was hard to see.

I think rotor arm is supposed to be bonded on as 16V

Sad to see this car leave Scotland. Happy Motoring! And if you find any rubber latex gloves and suspicious bottles of lubricant under the seats you'd best get a pro into remove them.
