If you don't want to keep completely OEM you could do the stainless steel approach, had mine done in Southampton - powerflow, very similar dimensions for the back box and exhaust tips. Cost me something like £300 for the box build & fit.

very happy with it. Not too loud (quieter than my original due to back box disintegrating!

A URQ system's tail pipes are at a different offset, so you'd need to modify the system or bumper for it to align - unless that's your plan?

Cheers lads -

I have the full UR panels / wings and bumpers going on the car so the UR exhaust will fit snug into place - http://www.classic-audi.co.uk/forum/...ad.php?t=29004

I hear ya on that one. When I got my ur little did I know the centre and rear section were attached by a bit of flexi pipe which unfortunately let go about a mile from my house. The sound driving home was horrendous. I was however able to insert a rod between the two sections and bodge it back together to make it the three miles to the nearest exhaust place where they fabricated a steel section to go around the rear axle!

Can you not make it to the nearest fabrication place and have one made, must be loads in the midlands.

We have places in the Midlands but they all use Powerflow systems (and some use a hammer to modify the floor of the car to fit it to the exhaust ) but I thought if I could get a system to take to Brian Tonks then that's out of the way.

Otherwise will try a few more places round here to get one fabricated

I think I have a UR back box and most of a system up to down pipe in stainless for some part. I'll have a look tonight.
