Well, I guess noob like you can call all persons with noticeably more knowledge about something than his, "dicks", so as a "dick" I will give you one more advice

See that dot where arrow points? Dot means electrical connection. You can figure out the rest.

Fair enough, the copy I have is not so good and the dots are not visible against the grain of the grey panel. I dont have a problem with your "knowledge" its the way you say things I have a problem with. It looked on my copy like the circuit was passing through not connecting.

I am corrected, but you could have put it better to begin with. So many times people are dismissive of new forum posters and talk down to them which is what you seemed to be doing. No need for that.

For info, I have a degree in electronics which has served me well for 30 years in engineering, so not so much a noob, but a badly copied diagram is a badly copied diagram.

lol aye fair do.

btw the clocks are 8A0 919 035 - are they petrol ones? I can only find links for sold ones in gaybay but none mention tdi with this part number. there was a set of link positions on the pcb for various models, mine had one link in position 1 that showed it was for a petrol too, the pcb screen print indicated "no links for Diesel 4/5 Zyl" but cutting it didnt make the rev counter work.
