DRIVERS SIDE AVAILABLE

Well just been to Audi Warrington this morning and the C pillar inner seals (packing) are available for drivers side only, passenger side NLA, so ordered two anyway for pick up tomorrow. £5.90 each.
Just shows, if you don't ask you don't get!
Cheers Andy

They're used to be a really good parts guy on the counter at Crewe Audi. Always knew what I was on about and quite often knew the part numbers off the top off his head.

He disappeared upstairs when they had a revamp and moved the parts counter from round the back to the front in their swanky new showroom. Now if I go in they say things like " A 1981 quattro sir, would that be a TDi?" And so on.

I think that's it, if you get the right bloke who actually knows the cars Audi made and will take a little time over finding the parts your after, then your efforts may pay off. If you get the bloke who is just watching the clock and waiting to go home and no interest whatsover you are probably flogging a dead horse.
I would have thought as part of the training for new staff that the history odf Audi would be included and the Ur quattro is a big part of that. Probably what made Audi, that's why i can't understand why t seems they now have no interest in the original quattro.
With BMW i believe they still carry huge stocks of parts even for there older models.

I ended up with 2 of one side, an ordering/delivery cockup. It wasn't worth quibbling about for the few quid it cost.

I've just checked........ and it was the drivers side , so I can't help I'm afraid .

Had a few dealings with Crewe Audi myself. Spot on. Was the guy you were on about called Richard Platt? If so, he was switched on. Warrington Audi (my nearest), are shite in every way. More than once they have ordered the wrong parts, despite having the reg no, chassis no. etc. Can't be doing with incompetence.

Yes Ken, pretty sure that was the fella. It's a pity Audi don't have an interest in their heritage like BMW and Mercedes do, and sadly I don't think their attitude will change any time soon.
