There is a franchise just set-up 2doors away from us, they performed on a T5 on Tuesday and the crap that came out of the exhaust for about 15 minutes must have made a difference.

Only downside for me is they are just North-East of us and most of the crap that came out of the T5 ended-up in my office, such as it is,

think they need to install an extractor before or after we fall-out

Or fill it up with superunleaded, cleaning solution and then take it out for a couple of hundred mile hard slog up a motorway, blow the balls off it over some moorland road or on the Isle of Man, then thrash it home again... They love that.

Or do a trackday.

Windscreen washer fluid works even better than water. Raise the revs up to about 4000 and put a small (3mm) vacuum hose in the jug. The alcohol blows the carbon off the valves when it hits. We take the old Mercedes v8's with efi and pour an entire gallon into the throttle body at about 5000 revs. The pile of carbon under the tailpipe is impressive. They run like a new car afterwords.

Cheers,

Dan

Hi everyone, Terraclean! First seen this on Wheeler Dealers i think, it was a newish Jag XJ he did it on! But I have heard some horror stories on this, specially with older/Higher mileage! The carbon deposits that are in cambers have been there for years by using terra clean which removes all carbon it will affect they way the Piston/Piston seals sit can be a very costly if you have to rebore and replace with new piston rings! So I would say a bottle of Redex might do the job!!
