My mums B4 80 1.9tdi estate, many happy miles were had in that!

Bought my first car, an 88 90 10v when I was 17 for £200, and learned to to make it work.

it was affectionately known as the Grimsby Trawler due to all the rust spots down the sides

I learnt in my Dad's early 1 litre Vauxhall Nova - it was quite new at the time and it cost him £12 to put me on the insurance - no risk of boy-racing cos it wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.
I later bought it off him, to be fair it was very reliable and dead cheap to run but not a great drive.

The first car I bought for myself was one of these 2litre with sierra 5 speed box, loved that car lol.
