Are they worth that much???? Looking to resto it to stock looking but big power.
The prices over the water do seem to be very high indeed. Anything with the 20valve turbo in it, is in the region of 20000euro!!

Check out www.mobile.de, some of the prices for stuff that makes £500 over here will make your eyes pop!!

Yea i was looking at mobile.de when i was after a 2dr syncro mk2 golf. Some cheap/rare stuff on there to be sure but id imagine getting them back would bump the price up a bit?

Not really. Tonks and I have brought four back between us over the last couple of years.

£88 quid return on Eurotunnel for car and trailer, then just fuel and burger money. The total cost of my last trip for a two door 80 added £250 to the price but we had a great couple of days road trip to chat about when we made it back.

In fact, we were chatting last night about another trip to Ingoldstadt to check out the Museum. Perhaps make a long weekend of it as well. Hotels on par with our Travelodges really.

Be a great opportunity for a forum road trip?...

That sounds quite good to be honest, thought it would be more than that, the road trip sounds quite good, could do a mod ball/canon ball type effort

Good on ya for saving Neils 80q and it'll be nice seeing another 80q getting some forum space and attention!

Am 3 quarters of the way getting one back on the road myself. Also, might have some pares when finished if you need anything as mines not exactly stock anymore.

Nah, it'll ether be the M54/A5 un-ring or Loton Park Hill Climb!
Might make it to the car park in the 80q at RR though, although I doubt it's this years!

Probably the little Ginetta tbh.
