Or pay for advertising on this site as all your links ultimately make a reference back to your business.

Done.

I have it on authority (no less than Matt Cutts himself) that links other than the first found by the Googlebot have no SEO value. And links in forum posts are especially carefully treated - the days when you could spam a forum senseless and get search position are long, long gone.

As regards the information - find me a better collation and I'll link to it in future.

And I might also note that - of the people I link to on the links page and on the bitz.html page, only two link back.

Sheeeet, Man,

I only asked a simple question of those that know.

wasn't my intention to start a virtual WW3, or should that be WW4?

most of that is above my head to be honest, and I've no idea who Matt Cutts is either.
Just a 'done' would have been sufficient!
and it's not about SEO really, just a little bit of common courtesy. CA was built as an advert free place (always the best recipe for a successful forum!) but I'm no problem in allowing members to advertise their services if they give a little back! Most who do are paid up members ya see

Was my original answer to the OP incorrect or just not well enough sourced or what?

quattroforum are complaining about a lack of postings...... They should come here - one simple question, one correct answer and then a complete multi-topic debate with names and acronyms which mean little to most people.

Absolutely correct as far as it went, though there is also a 'corporate grey' that they use sometimes.

I merely thought that - having asked about one of the colours - he might just need the others. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition - I shall restrict my answers in future.
