Dunno - I'm currently carrying that risk. The one doing sterling service in Jamie's car is one of mine and I've taken the 'eBay' one as a no-cost swap.

It depends on the reason for the paint job. If the body happens to be very sound but each individual panel appears to have been hit in the middle with a toffee hammer ...

My fingers seem to have been extra sticky over the last couple of weeks.

I've managed to find the correct control pressure regulator, oil pressure switch, sidelight bulb holder and full throttle enrichment switch.

Still no sign of a wastegate heat shield, though. Missed one by about an hour last week.

hello mate, ive tried downloading pics but it isnt working, as i said ive been offered £5800 if it doesnt happen i will keep it, an keep doin wee things gradually getting it nicer, theres no hurry and i dont really need the money, but i am quite suprised at the attitude of some of the members towards somebody they dont know, know nothing about and have a pop without provocation , not good in an owners club, cheers, Jamie

i've got one, doing nothing, off of the MC. i bought another for the thermo switch thing.

would it fit? it has surface rust though, i'll give it a whizz with a wire bursh and see what it looks like if it's any good.

120 miles due west of you, would only cost a couple of quid to sent it over probably.

I wonder if that is the sort of thing the illustrious Tony might be able to knock up, as he did with the brake disc shields.

It's only a bit of bent metal, but the demand is so miniscule it's hardly worth him solving the problem. Different with brake dust shields - just about every car needs them.

I wouldn't bother - just whack it over. Jamie has a superb workshop including a shallow pit with a four-post lift over it. If we could only get the 1966 Mustang that's currently blocking itt out of the way ...
