All,
I need some help, I am in the process of getting the bodywork on my '87 UR Quattro refurbished. I will be retaining the original 15" Ronals but I also fancy a change of wheel. I would like to get a set of 17" Deepdish Compomotive MO's but I'm not sure what offset to get. It's been suggested the 7.5" is enough but I would like to go to 8" and maybe stretch to a 9". I am really just looking for advice and or comments? I don't want the new wheels to protrude from the wheelarch so I assume that there will be a maximum I can go to? Any help would be greatly appreciated. All the best, Ian |

MO's look the nuts on UR IMO, I'd have thought something like an 8 X 17 with an offset of ET 20 would be as far as one could go, don't put 9's on it will wreck the cars dynamics.

I'm definitely drifting to a 7.5" offset. I'm on the look out for some pictures of any Quattro's with them on, so if you know anyone who has some can you get the to post them to me?
I've seen the S1 recreations with MO's on but I'm interested to hear from anyone that has fitted them to a UR Quattro. Cheers, Ian |

Thanks Guys, I am a bit of a novice when it comes to technical issues. The comments and weblink are very useful.
I am probably going to venture down to Compomotive soon to discuss the wheels. Since it is important to get it right a minor road trip is no hardship! I will look into 16" rims as well, as always any comments are gratefully received. Cheers, Ian |

I have 16" Compomotive MO's on mine, offset is 25mm IIRC.
Just my opinion, but I wouldn't go any bigger than 16" on the ur quattro. |
