My 80 is smokin!!

Hi all,
The last couple of times I have taken my 80 for a spin there has been smoke coming out of all of the vents in the dashboard. It doesn't really smell of burning and then after a while it goes! The temperature guage doesn't alter either. Just wondered if anyone might know what it could be??

is it smoke or steam?? could be steam from the heater matrix, double check your water level,

if not then does the heater work on all the settings?? it could be a stuck motor getting hot

Thanks, I guess it could be steam it just seems to pour out from the vents but I will check the water level. I will also check if the heater is still working. I was a bit nervous to turn up the heat in case it made it worse!

Yes it is! And I have noticed that the beige carpets have gone brown in places in the footwell. Will that be rust forming from the damp?

Yes it smells but not of burning but unusual.
