Got a better idea. Why don't we nominate someone as a collection point for all the snaps we have - said person puts them on a memory stick for the family and we have a whip-round at the funeral to pay for the stick? Fiver from me's no problem.

Then they can wander down to Jessop's or somewhere and click on the ones they want to print - those machines are a breeze to use and the staff are quite helpful.

there is a thread on here about Gord's resto on his car somewhere.
T'was very early on in Classic Audi terms and I remember one of it's first outings was to one of the very first Breakfast Clubs at my old unit. The paint had hardly dried at the time!

simmo took it a few years ago on a chester trip, some others by some water if i recall. Not long after he'd restored it. Bloody sad news this.

Just got back from a week away to read this, I met Gordon several times whilst I was working up that way, and he was a fine man with a dry humour. Bless him.

I did a mini photoshoot of his quattro several years ago, took some stills, literally weeks after he'd finished restoring it.

Then went out to take some 'action' photos...

Bloomin' heck, the quattro came absolutely flying into the bends, understeer, lift-off and power oversteer... I was stunned, Gordon could peddle a car and wasn't afraid to use them. They're the few 'action' shots I've got of a quattro where you can actually tell there's some serious action going on.

Always sad to here this sort of news.
I never had the pleasure of meeting Gordon, but he was obviously a like minded person.
Best wishes to his family.
