So far all attempts to locate a rear axle in Denmark have failed, so the search is widened.
The car is a 1987 Audi Coupe GT 2.2L 10V KV (136 hp) with discbrakes rear. If you have a spare, know of one or have knowledge of an alternative to the original axle, please contact coupe-gt or myself SorenR. My phonenumber is +45 2999 5670. We need to get this beauty back on the road as it is greatly missed by the owner! This is the state of the current rear axle.. ![]() ![]() |

Normally on VAGs you just swap the stub axle to go between rear drums and rear discs. The bolt pattern seems to be to any old FWD VAG I've ever dealt with, but I can't guaratee that.
I've got a spare, drummed, rear beam, but I don't know how we'd go about getting it to you?

Status update...
Aparently axles with drums and axles with discs are not the same. Anyways, Audi found a new rear axle, so the car should be on the road again very soon. Thanks to everyone for your interest in our quest. |

Not my car, the car belongs to a good friend... It was the only viable alternative. All the rear axles available were rusty and required some work before fitting and with the rest of the car in mind, a new rear axle seemed the most sensible thing to do.
