Default Anybody else do running?

I started running again in February last year after about 6 years off (kids etc).

My aim was to beat my half marathon time from 2000, of 1h42m.

But I had back problems (slipped disc) and arse problems.

Still did 2 half marathons (Chippenham and Swindon), both in 1h59m.

Now joined a running club, local to me and am enjoying it.

Got a hilly off road 10k on Tuesday (6 miles), and am about to run about 10 miles off road.

Anybody else into it?

Not with my legs anymore but used to love running, my missus has stepped up from duathlon to triathlon this year, so she is running a lot. cycling is my limit these days.

Have done a couple of half m'thons and some 10k's. Do it 'cause m' wife is into it and eggs me on! It does give you a good feeling when you're out there but my problem is getting off my arse, like now....thinking of going out but looks like it could rain !?
That's good you're getting back into it. Don't overdo it!
All the best,
John.

Too heavy for running at 102Kg and have knackered knees from high impact stuff on them when I was young, so stick to low impact stuff like cycling the 11miles each way to work twice a week. Saving myself a fortune in fuel too

Yeah, Doing the manchester 10k next sunday and the Great north run in september.

Only thing is living in a city centre makes training hard, running in exhaust fumes and in an out of the suit types in the morning.

Give me a river or open fields anyday.

Just started running this week after almost a year off it, when I broke my arm last year that kind of knackered up my fitness plans. I'm a lightweight & it's purely for fitness so I doubt whether I'll be entering any competitions or joining clubs anytime soon lol!
