Just watch the highlights of last years event on Motors TV, looks awesome.
Especially the 60's (GT40's, Ferraris and Mustangs) and 70's (BMW M1's, Panteras and 911's) classes. I think it has more appeal than the main event. Just been looking at the website, it's a 7000 vehicle classic car show as well .The quattro (and R8) on the post '66 accepted cars list for the enclosure .http://www.lemansclassic.com/en/s01_...01p01_home.php Anyone been? I imagine it's not quite so manic as the main event, not so many people? .

If you want a good read, and are obviously into books, read 'The Man In The White Suit', Ben Collins a.k.a. 'The Stig', autobiography. It is a very very good read and lots about Le Mans in his early days driving for the Ascari Team. Awesome read.

Have been to the Le Mans Classic once. Was excellent, nowhere near as busy as the Le Mans 24hr, a lot more relaxed!
