I've been thinking about whether this is the right thing to do for weeks now, but have finally made a decision. I am regretfully selling my superb coupe quattro.
She hardly gets any use and lives in the garage most of the time (at an extortionate rent cost!) and I need to buy something I can use daily. Most of you know this car well as it previously was owned by Mickey.Engine was rebuilt by Ben at AVP in March 2010 at a cost of £527.90. Top end was rebuilt and a Kent cam shaft was fitted (pulls very nicely at higher revs). At 75,628 I changed the water pump, cambelt, thermostat and fan switch. She seems to run a bit hot but I think it's more likely to be an inaccurate temperature guage as the car has never overheated and I've never had an issue. At 78,554, I fitted a new Bosch fuel pump (£126.90), new house (£35) and fuel filter. I have all the car's service history. The original service book is full! Another book has been started and kept up-to-date in order to record further work. It is now up to 79,000+ miles (can't remember the exact figure as it's hibernating at the moment)! I paid £3,500 for her. I will let the car go for £3,000 as there are a few little jobs to address as my circumstances have changed and the work would not be finished until the end of March. The clutch master cylinder is leaking a bit so needs attention (common thing to go!). I doubt that'll cost you more than about £70 if you carried out this work yourself. There's a bearing noise coming from the power steering once the engine has warmed up (available second hand for £20-£30). There's a slight leak coming from what appears to be the rocker cover gasket. The car has had a tow bar fitted but it's a removable one so doesn't detract from the overall rear end! Someone at some point has drilled a small hole below the rear offside light but it hardly notices (I have sprayed the small cap to blend in with the car). The Ronals are stunning and apparently very rare! They have recently been refurbished and powder coated which makes them look pretty damn cool. Quite a few of you have commented how nice they are as they have a larger dish compared with the normal 4 stud Ronals that are usually fitted. Here are some photos of her. Uploading these make me realise how beautiful this car is. Haven't got any of the interior but there is absolutely no wear or fading.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you have further questions, send me a PM. My mobile number is 07765 138165 if you'd prefer to phone. Regards, Will |

If it wasn't for Steve (Fivepots) car, this would be the best in the UK.
Stunning and excellent value at that price. |

Having seen this car in the flesh, as it were, it certainly is one to covet. If only I had the space and funds...

She's a lovely example and if I had the cash,I'd have her.
They aren't major jobs, well worth the money.
