That's very cynical of you!!!! Surely you mean £15,995!

Doesn't compute! The ad is full of unclear and missing information about the exact model it is, i.e. is it a quadlamp (if it really is a 82) , wheels, time on road, etc etc. Someone who truley knew what it was, would surely provide all these details to help get the most for the car?

At that price though, someone out there wants it bad.

Or someone wasn't happy with the price it's fetching and bumped it. It looks more like that to me - why else such a jump? It makes a mockery of an auction, where the objective is to get something as cheap as you can and not throw money on the table.

You can call me cynical if you like, but I do a lot of pre-purchase inspections. The key question is what's the reason for sale?

Sometimes there's a genuine reason - redundancy, divorce, driving ban, etc. Sometimes there's something nasty that the owner has been told will cost thousands to fix.

Agreed, I think someone is bumping the price up!

Agreed! Could well be a scam to hike the price up, which is not playing ball. Be interesting to see if it goes up from there, and different bidders!

Er, if you re-read, I think you'll find that was only intented as a bit of banter and not meant as an insult of any kind! That's all I meant it to be anyway!

The ad claims he's had a Hip problem and can't finish the car.

the days of dropping on something fair on e bay are long gone, if a genuine car turns up they are sold off e bay sometimes prior to the last day to circumvent the fees incurred and any buyer with a brain cell goes and looks with his own beady eyes, i went to kent once just to suss one out even before bidding . Then you throw into the mix of said sellers chum giving it a tickle for the price of a beer or two. This thing will cost a few quid to finish even before you start wading through the bits missing or broken from it being stripped. With all stuff like this you go and look and check the known basics , it aint rocket science although the way some of these sell seems to be

What are these people on ?
It doesn't run..... it's basically a parts car..... and I think 200s are really underated sleepers !

Not a 200. For the time being, work with 85-D-900615.
