Default 84 ur quattro turbo

Hello guys, just a quick question, the standard fuel pump on my quattro is knackered, should i replace it wih the original bosch 4414400940, or is there a modern sensible upgrade ?, cheers, Jamie

If your keeping it standard or it is standard then just replace it . A Bosch 044 may be a bit too lively

Get the original Bosch pump. No point buying the 044 unless you are planning to do some significant tuning. I recently replaced the fuel pump on my coupe quattro (had minor engine work done by previous owner), just fitted the standard fuel pump and drives superbly. Fuel pumps never reach their maximum rated pressure so a standard pump will be more than adequate!

Plenty of spare capacity in the original so best to follow advice given, mine was replaced with standard.

Mine runs 450bhp with a 20v on a standard pump, though the sequential injection helps on a 20v motor.

Just replace the standard one..
