Where does the seating loom feed into the cabin? Is it from the centre console or via the looms on each side?

It's decent enough, no rot on it and aside from teh cosmetics it just needs the hot start sorted and a bloody good service by someone who knows mb's in and out as it's lumpy on idle and has a tendency to cut out when idling on warm up as it's idling too low (only a few hundred revs, can't tell exactly thanks to digi dash!)

Dave, Try sending a pm to Kirker on here. I'm sure he knows a fair bit about the car ie the make up of the engine. As you say, it's a bit of a hybrid.

I've not forgotten the rest of the parts for the interior btw. Just not got round to it yet.

Keep at it. Don't sell, concentrate on the other stuff, it'll still be there when you go back

Depending on budget, ring AM cars (in Ilminster) and ask for Adam. Explain the hot start problem and see if he's got any ideas (can start eliminating things first before you start spending!). He knows how to charge but then it depends how desperately you want to be able to drive it and to be reliable.

Seriously, Dont be in a hurry
Although married life is, mostly, great and your first child is something special, it's a good thing to be able to get away from it all for an hour or so and have a little you time.
You'll come back to both situations refreshed and better for it,
As long as you've got an understanding Missus
