He he, no worries, love being a guinie pig!

As for M10, it's a big no no, one short drive I had to make and it's bent already, however it's now bang on the right length, and off for welding tomorrow!

Right I've sorted it. It was actually about 8mm in total removed. Now back as a solid bar it's rock solid again.

I've also got a mate that did it a different way which I thought you lot might like to see. I kinda wish I'd done this now as it preserves the original geometries. However I think an 8mm loss is not going to affect it much.

Here's what he's done, a drop bracket to put the bar back to stock allignment, where you make the bracket a drop of however much you've dropped the car by. (although somehow in my head the arc it will move over a 50mm drop in my case doesnt somehow seem like it would move the bar 8mm in but hey ho, it must work as the car didnt crab stock!!)



Hope that helps other too! Note to make it secure he did weld it to the axle.

i've got an adjustable one on my 80.. Its an old AutoCavan adjuster and is 5/8 UNF left and right hand threaded..
