Dissapointingly I cannot afford to put the car on the road and enjoy it as it should be enjoyed. I have just had the car MOTed but thats as far as I can take it this year.
If it sells then that would be great, if not I will wrap it up and put it away until my finances improve.

Any questions please ask.

Montego black (Metallic charcoal) 1983 early model with left hand drive wiper arrangement showing its early authenticity. It's a very tidy unmolested original example. Unfortunately not a lot of history other than Tax discs due to the previous elderly owner misplacing the file with his documents. I have the receipts for the items I have bought and the recent work done and also the original manual and tool kit etc.... all in all very original. Some marks and small parking dints etc... but it is 27 year old. Some stone chips to front valence and minor scuffing to bumper corners. There are a couple of scabs on the paint, I have tried to show those on the front of the bonnet and the ones on the wings. Nothing major and certainly not holes etc... but I want any prospective buyer to be aware of the good and not so good points.
The interior is original and again in excellent condition, the JVC head unit is in full working order.

Recent spend includes £160 on reconditioning the original Ronal alloys, £175 on belts and fitting including the cambelt
The previous owner had the car for 20 years and sold it due to not using the car, I bought it in August of 2009 and have spent a significant amount of money to get the car on the road. There is 12 months MOT on the car but no tax although I can put tax on the car for the buyer if we reach agreement.
I have spent hundreds of hours on the car since I took ownership, I have cleaned up the underneath and anti rust treated the rear subframe and the underside of the car and replaced one of the front brake pipes that was on the previous MOT advisory.
I have recently put on a patched but perfectly good original exhaust system, Goodridge braided brake lines, second hand but excellent condition brake disks all round and brake pads.
The rear callipers were refurbished at the time of the MOT and a service was carried out including oil and filters, fuel filter, air filter, plugs, distributor cap and arm, radiator top hose, fluids etc....
I have only driven the car for one afternoon since I bought the car (on trade plates) and it was fantastic, a real head turner. It drove well and felt very good, unfortunately for me I have sell it on as I have expenses coming up in the next year and something has to go.

As I said, it's an early analogue model. Therefore it does not come with the digital dash.
The car has done 99755 miles
Price £4750
I have loads of current and old photos so if you want to see anything in particular just ask.
