on a bit of a more serious note, have you ever took a long exposed pic of the night sky. it really is amazing how many stars there are. And to think that that is only within our own milkway is amazing. It wouldnt really matter even if you could at the speed of light etc it'd still take hundereds of years to get anywhere. And if you could maybe you just would get there quicker than anyone else, so you havent really time travelled, you just got there quicker. If I got to work 1 minuite faster would it be time travel, or would it be 1 minuite different experience where i have to piss abut waiting.

This is a subject that gets me going too. the universe is not only massive..but it's expanding all the time, which makes you think that at some time it must stop expanding.....in-fact experts say that it will not only stop growing...but will shrink and collapse under it's own gravity
...by then though...serious climatic shifts...earths expiry date...and then the sun's expiry date would mean than in the reality of things, we as humans need to find another planet to call home so we can then carry on (we don't want classic Audi to have an expiry date ).But this is the problem, we could never find life or life find us as everything is too damn far away...... The average human lives for around 75yrs.....the nearest solar system is about 4.3 light years away (although our solar system is meant to collide with it in a few billion years )....so...there being no life on in that solar system...we gotta look further...then further...then further.....The only way we could do it, is colonise some kind of space ship (i feel trekky fans faces lighting up here ) so then we could search far and wide.....But then life we might find could be similar to ours but in a complete different climate to ours that just wouldn't sustain us..... There's sooooo many possibilities......just makes you wonder....why all this for the universe to just collapse into itself......maybe we are unwillingly test subjects.....tested harder and harder until we get it right maybe....I don't know....maybe after all this, our creator will give us the definition of normal! ![]()

The one that gets me is that if the universe is expanding, what the hell is it expanding into???? What is beyond it. Can't be "nothing" what is nothing..... head hurts...

I work outside every night, and quite often get the chance to look up at the clear sky at night.
Its a subject that interests me massively! Especially when you involve space travel and NASA in general. I would happily beleive there is life out there, but am certain there is not, simply because of the pure luck that Earth is positioned perfectly in relation to the sun etc to be able to sustain life |

...it's mental....apperently beyond the universe is just empty space (a defintion of something with nothing in it ) apart from the odd atom floating around.....so....universe spinning...causing gravity...outa galaxy's pulling and strecthing apart....every thing spreading apart....gravity becomes unstable.....universe collopses...then what next![]() ![]() hmmm.....would that be the big bang by any chance![]()
